Golden Gate Bridge. Computer artwork of the Golden Gate Bridge, San Francisco, California, USA. This suspension bridge took four years to build and opened on 28th May 1937. At that time, it was the longest suspension bridge in the world. It is used for road, cycle and pedestrian transport from the city of San Francisco to Marin County, crossing the opening from San Francisco Bay to the Pacific Ocean. The two towers are 1280 metres apart (shore-to-shore distance is about 2.7 kilometres), and the bridge is 27 metres wide. The two towers rise 227 metres above the water, and the clearance below the bridge is 67 metres at high tide. Wood effect frame, card mounted, 10x8 fade resistant photo print. Overall outside dimensions 14x12 inches (36x31cm). Environmentally and ozone friendly, 40mm wide x 15mm Polycore® moulding has the look of real wood, is durable and light and easy to hang. Biodegradable and made with non-chlorinated gases (no toxic fumes) it is efficient; producing 100 tons of polystyrene can save 300 tons of trees! Prints are glazed with lightweight, shatterproof, optical clarity acrylic (providing the same general protection from the environment as glass).
