This success was followed by a string of top tens in America and Britain. This encouraged the BBC and an American Network to give Clark her own TV shows. As her commercial success faded in the sixties Clark returned to film and also musicals. She starred in 1981s " The Sound of Music" and made her Broadway debut in 1993s " Blood Brothers".
