With his resolute spirit and thirst for adventure, Soto embarked on a monumental journey from Spain in 1914, aiming to discover a passage to China through the Indies. Eagerly embracing this opportunity, Soto set forth on another daring expedition between 1539 and 1542 that would forever etch his name in history books. Venturing through what is now known as the southeastern United States, he became not only an intrepid explorer but also the first European to cross the majestic Mississippi River.
