Framed Print of Soyuz TMA-11 rocket on transporter
The rocket carrying the Soyuz TMA-11 spacecraft seen on its transporter train. The train is used to carry the rocket from the assembly building to the launch pad at the Baikonur Cosmodrome. Soyuz TMA-11 was a mission to the International Space Station launched on 10 October 2007. It carried Expedition 16 crew members Yuri Malenchenko and Peggy Whitson, and spaceflight participant Sheikh Muszaphar Shukor, the first Malaysian in space. Malenchenko and Whitson returned using the TMA-11 craft on 19 April 2008, along with Korean astronaut Yi So-yeon (who was launched on mission TMA-12 on 8 April 2008). There was a technical malfunction during re-entry and the craft reentered on a ballistic trajectory. The crew was subjected to up to 10g forces and the capsule landed 418km off course.
