Christmas star as planetary conjunction. Artwork of a possible Christmas Star in the night sky of the year 7 BC. Traces of the planetary conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn are seen in the night sky in the constellation Pisces. There were several conjunctions of Jupiter and Saturn in 7 BC within a period of 8 months. It is thought that Jesus was born at around this time, and that this planetary conjunction may account for the Christian biblical story of three wise men following a star to find the infant Christ. Wood effect frame, card mounted, 10x8 fade resistant photo print. Overall outside dimensions 14x12 inches (36x31cm).
